Automobiles in Germany's Town Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Authorities stated they were alerted by a individual who found a car in Hanau smeared with red-colored fluid

Roughly fifty automobiles have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by police.

Vehicles, building surfaces and postal boxes were marked, sometimes with swastikas, they announced in a official communication.

Police say they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a resident discovered that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued substance.

The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Law enforcement then found numerous other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under regulations outlawing the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Law enforcement report initial examinations show the liquid was probably human blood.

"Currently there is no indication as to where it came from; officials are currently not aware of any physical harm in connection with the event," they added.

City officials announced they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have requested to the community for details.

An important political figure said the incident made him without words and needed to be resolved rapidly.

"This act affects the center of Hanau and revives the pain of the extremist terrorist attack half a decade ago," he posted on social media, recalling the death of nine individuals by a shooter aiming at individuals of foreign heritage in February 2020.
