Skydance Paramount Plans to Remove Nearly 2,000 American Positions – News
Paramount Skydance is scheduled to start mass layoffs during the week starting 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 American roles within a cost-cutting plan valued at $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August with a value of $8.4bn.
More overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance aiming to announce full details in its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.
Earlier reports stated the company was looking to cut from 2,000 and 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.
Until December 2024, the organization had almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 project-based staff.
The company did not immediately respond on the matter.
