Slip-ups From Global Heads of State Believing They're in Private
This week, Indonesia's leader Prabowo Subianto believed he was a private conversation with US President Donald Trump at the Gaza peace summit in Egypt.
However, a hot-mic incident captured Prabowo requesting Trump to organize a call with his son Don Jr, both of whom hold positions at the family business.
It represented only one in a string of gaffes made by international figures thinking no one can hear them.
Here are several additional noteworthy blunders:
Organ Transplants and Immortality
During a defense ceremony in Beijing in early autumn, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russia's head Vladimir Putin were overheard talking about organ transplants as a approach for extending lifespan.
"Vital organs can be repeatedly transplanted. The longer you live, the younger you become, and you can even achieve immortality," Putin's interpreter was recorded stating.
Xi, who was not visible, answered in Chinese: "Some predict that in the current era people may reach 150 years old."

'Sea Rising at Your Door'
Former Australian immigration minister Peter Dutton came under fire in 2015 when he joked about the situation of residents in the Pacific experiencing rising sea levels.
Dutton was speaking to former PM Tony Abbott, who had recently come back from climate change talks with Pacific Island leaders in Port Moresby.
Observing how a migration discussion was running on "Cape York time", Abbott responded: "There was a similar situation up in Port Moresby."
Dutton commented: "Time doesn't mean anything when you're about to have water lapping at your door."
The comments sparked outrage from Pacific Islands and environmentalists, while the opposition Labor party called for Dutton to issue an apology.

'Bigoted Woman'
While serving as UK PM Gordon Brown was campaigning in 2010, he encountered a constituent who questioned him on migration and the economic situation.
Still wired up to a Sky news microphone when he got into his vehicle, Brown was recorded stating: "That went terribly – they should not have placed me with that woman. Whose idea was that? Absurd."
Asked what she had said, he replied: "Everything, she was just a prejudiced person."
The scandal received extensive coverage for weeks and Brown ultimately lost the election.
'I Can't Stand Netanyahu. He Lies.'
Ex-American leader Barack Obama was in discussion at the international conference in Cannes in 2011 with then French president Nicolas Sarkozy when their remarks about Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu were picked up by a active recording device.
Sarkozy said: "I cannot bear Netanyahu. He deceives."
According to a version from a translator cited by Reuters, Obama responded: "You've had enough but I have to deal with him more often than you."
'Total ***hole'
A classic hot-mic moment from former White House hopeful George W. Bush occurred when he made a disparaging remark about a journalist from The New York Times.
The Republican presidential nominee was didn't realize that a microphone was live when he turned to Dick Cheney at a Labor Day rally and said, "That's Adam Clymer, major league asshole from the New York Times."
Cheney answered: "Absolutely, that's true, definitely."
